I’ve been exploring ways to enhance our opioid-sparing strategies in the OR recently, especially given the ongoing discussions about opioid reduction. In particular, I’ve found that using dexmedetomidine in combination with regional blocks can significantly improve patient recovery times while enhancing analgesia. I’m curious about what others have implemented in their practices for optimizing anesthesia plans without relying heavily on opioids.
