Evaluating New Anesthesia Techniques

I recently came across a study analyzing the effectiveness of regional anesthesia techniques vs. general anesthesia for orthopedic procedures. The data indicates a significant reduction in recovery time and opioid use with regional anesthesia. I’m curious if anyone has implemented these techniques in their practice and what outcomes you’ve observed.

And we’ve started using regional anesthesia for knee surgeries, and I’ve seen recovery times drop significantly… > anesthesia. I’m curious if anyone has implemented these techniques in their practice — it’s been a game-changer for our patients’ opioid use. Just be prepared for the learning curve; it took a bit to get everyone on board with the new protocols. @CRNAGuys, have you seen similar outcomes?
