CE that tightens protocol compliance

After our February internal audit flagged inconsistent capnography alarm settings and incomplete transfer-of-care fields, I’m seeking Class A credits that explicitly train on protocol adherence and generate auditable competency evidence. What courses have you used that include a validated post-test or simulation with documentation we can cite during Joint Commission tracers in March?

We tightened this up with AANA Learn Class A patient safety modules — there’s a capnography/alarm segment with a scored post-test and a certificate (score/date) we cited during tracers: https://learn.aana.com. For simulation, our sim lab built a brief capnography alarm scenario with a checklist tied to policy, then we uploaded the sign-offs to the LMS as “auditable competency evidence.” Small caveat: some courses bury alarm settings, so preview objectives first to avoid CE whack‑a‑mole.

I usually go with “4 fractions” of 8 Gy weekly; most dogs stay comfortable about 8–12 weeks, and we sometimes see 4–6 months if we add an NSAID and a bisphosphonate like zoledronate. If travel’s tough or the cortex looks sketchy I’ll switch to 3x8 Gy — have you noticed any difference in fracture rates between the two?

Quick example: we used the NBCRNA CPC Core Modules — especially the equipment/technology one — for Class A; it finishes with a “validated post-test” and a certificate showing score/date plus a transcript we could cite during tracers (https://www.nbcrna.com/cpc-program/cpc-core-modules). Small caveat: it’s not site-specific on your monitors, so we paired it with a 15-minute sim checkoff on our actual devices and documented that form in the competency file — belt-and-suspenders.
