I grabbed a 3-month rural contract last fall after a “real-time” listing vanished twice — . What helped was setting text alerts on the AANA board (https://careers.aana.com/) and calling the recruiter the same day to confirm the real call burden behind the “flexible scheduling” pitch; one site was 1:3 call. If you’ve done independent cases recently, lead with that, but double-check the supervision model before you uproot — anyone seeing even limited remote charting yet?

@sandra_kim47 Good call on alerts; I’ve also landed rural interviews by filtering for “critical access” on GasWork (https://www.gaswork.com/) and calling the anesthesia lead directly — faster than waiting on the portal. Small caveat: ask up front if it’s solo vs supervision and the call burden, because “flexible” sometimes hid q3 beeper.

For these ‘real-time’ posts that disappear fast, I keep a one-page CV + license packet ready to send in under 10 minutes and use the CAH directory to grab contacts: https://www.flexmonitoring.org/cahlist. Direct apps landed me a rural 4x10 offer last quarter; agencies can be quicker on housing, but you’ll end up waiting on their credentialing timelines.
